Hello, my name is Kalina.  I'm 15 years old, and a sophomore honor roll student at Oswego High School.  I am a two year member of the high school varsity dance team, and work with my school's peer mediation group.  Dance is my passion, and I someday hope to open my own dance studio.  As a member of Storm Dance Alliance's Competition Company, I am at dance practice over 20 hours a week.  This past winter, I had the honor of dancing the Snow Queen part in the Nutcracker.

Despite my busy schedule, I am involved in community service, and am proud to have accumulated over 150 hours of service since enrolling in high school.  I am working to involve teens and youth in volunteerism.  So far, I have collected over 800 pounds of candy that was sent to overseas military, donated many hours to Feed My Starving Children, and have served on mission trips to the Hurricane Katrina area, and flooded areas of Kentucky.  I encourage everyone to find something they enjoy, and give back to others.

I am so excited to be the Miss Northern Suburbs' Outstanding Teen, and can't wait for the state pageant in July!  I thank everyone for this opportunity!

Cassidy is a 12 year old, 6th grade, middle school student from Vernon Hills where she is very active and loves to get involved.  She made the cheerleading squad, landed a part in the school play, sings with the chorus and plays viola in the orchestra.  Cassidy also participates in the local softball league going into her 3rd year.  She is most comfortable when she is performing on stage whether in a play, musical or just belting out a song.  This past year she landed a role on a local TV show called Into the Outdoors in her own segment called Cassidy’s Curiosities where she filmed 3 episodes.

Cassidy is so excited to be representing Miss Northern Suburbs this year as their Outstanding Pre-Teen and looks forward to getting to know her sister queens Natalie and Kalina.  She is looking forward to all the great times and memories they will create together while serving in the community.

Cassidy’s goal is to be a role model for younger kids and encourage them to get involved in their community.  You are never too young to make a difference!!  Thank you so much for this incredible opportunity!!!!
